UPDATED INFORMATION FOR MARCH 11, 12 and 13 - TICKET PRICES, GATE TIMES, ETC.

Cochran Motor Speedway cranks up the fun again the weekend of March 11, 12 and 13 with an open practice on Thursday and a double-header of racing action on Friday and Saturday.  Super Late Model drivers will have the opportunity to race for $20,000 to win on Friday, March 12th before another run on Saturday, March 13th paying $5000 to win.  The Gobbler 100 that was rained out in November was rescheduled to Friday, March 12th and then Cochran Motor Speedway owner / promoter Chris Martin made the decision to add a second night of racing for the Super Late Models to provide an opportunity for the travelling teams to off-set costs created with the rained out event.

 

“We wanted to make it worthwhile for teams to come back to Cochran Motor Speedway for events that were lost due to weather,� explained promoter/owner Chris Martin. “Weather was not kind to us or our racers last fall and winter. We decided to create a huge weekend allowing the drivers who were left disappointed in November and again in December to come back and get two shots at racing for some good money.�

 

The weekend starts with an open practice on Thursday, March 11th. Any division is welcome to come and practice. Plenty of track time is promised as drivers will need to shake the rust and get ready for the racing action on Friday and Saturday night.  The gates open 5pm with practice scheduled for 7pm to 10pm.  Pit Admission is $25.00 (Kids 6-10) $10.00 and grandstand admission is free.  ATV Passes are $35 for the weekend.

 

Friday, March 12th is the Gobbler 100 completion of B-Mains and the Feature Events that were lost in November.  Positions earned previous to the weather cancellation will be honored, but the B-Mains and last chance races will allow drivers to race their way into the money races.  Super Late Models will race for $20,000 to win while Crate Late Models will run for $3000 to win.  The 602 Late Model winner's purse is $2000 while Pure Stock and Bombers will race for $1000 to win.  The Southern Outlaw Hobby Stocks will also compete on Friday night featuring a $2000 to win feature race.

Friday's gates times are Pit Gates opening at 12pm and the Grandstands Gate opening at 3pm.
The Drivers Meeting will take place at 5:30pm and Hot Laps crank up at 6pm.
Pit Admission is $45; Kids age 6-10 are $20 while five & under are admitted for free. 
Grandstands Admission $30; Kids age 6-10 are $15 while five & under are free.

Rainout Armbands from the November race will Be Honored for this Event Only!!! 

 

On Saturday, March 13th Cochran Motor Speedway will run a full show with hot laps, qualifying events and features!  The Super Late Models will have a second opportunity to cash in with a $5000 to win race.  The CRUSA Street Stock World Championship is also on the schedule for Saturday as drivers will chase their $5000 payday.  Plus, action packed racing in the Crate Late Models, 602 Late Models and Bombers.

The Pit Gates will open for Saturday's racing at 12pm while the Grandstands will open for spectators at 2pm.
The Drivers Meeting is set for 5:00pm and Hot Laps will begin at 5:30pm.

Camping is available for the weekend $150 and includes 30amp power and water.  Self Contain Camping is $75 for the weekend.  Reservation form is available in the upper right corner of the website at www.cochranspeedway.com.
