Cochran Motor Speedway

Cochran Motor Speedway cranks up the fun again the weekend of March 11, 12 and 13 with an open practice on Thursday and a double-header of racing action on Friday and Saturday.  Super Late Model drivers will have the opportunity to race for $20,000 to win on Friday, March 12th before another run on Saturday, March 13th paying $5000 to win.  The Gobbler 100 that was rained out in November was rescheduled to Friday, March 12th and then Cochran Motor Speedway owner / promoter Chris Martin made the decision to add a second night of racing for the Super Late Models to provide an opportunity for the travelling teams to off-set costs created with the rained out event.

“We wanted to make it worthwhile for teams to come back to Cochran Motor Speedway for events that were lost due to weather, explained promoter/owner Chris Martin. “Weather was not kind to us or our racers last fall and winter. We decided to create a huge weekend allowing the drivers who were left disappointed in November and again in December to come back and get two shots at racing for some good money.
